JEZEBELLA FOTO!

Watch for drastic updates to the website… coming soon! Lots of new work and love to share. Until the new work is up and ready to share with all of you, check out a preview:

DETROIT’S Old Train Station

Detroit has many abandoned buildings throughout the metro area. The old train station is an amazing structure that once passed thousands of people through it’s doors…

The windows are now smashed and the building abandoned. The structure is an amazing thing to photograph. You cannot go wrong with the texture in a photograph. Click on the photos above and see a few others from the trip to the Motor City. Peace.

Share the love and pass this on!

DETROIT STREET ART!

Detroit, Michigan. A place where despair seems inevitable. When you drive through the neighborhoods of Metro Detroit you are treated to art that is often frowned upon. Many consider this beautiful since it covers the ugly abandoned buildings.

During our drive through Detroit, we also visited and photographed the Packard Plant. Artists come from all over to paint there. Perfect their craft! Professors bring their classes there to witness history… The Packard Plant was once a bussling factory for Ford. It is now abandoned by Ford, but not by the many street artists of Detroit.  YES College Prep School in Houston, TX exists to serve children. Each child deserves a good education regardless of their zipcode! The two photos above are from events/classes at YES Prep.                                                                                                                                                                     10th Grade students from the Southeast campus had a service trip to the Houston Food Bank on Wednesday October 20, 2010. They worked hard to build boxes filled with food for needy Houstonians. It was awesome to see such caring and hard work. Students were rewarded with a trip to the Houston Zoo. It was definitly a fun filled day of service and good times!

The second photo is from my Art 1 class. They are working on color theory. Each student is to have an image in the middle of the paper, divide it into 6 equal parts. They paint the color wheel and paint the complimentary color in the background. Students learn about how color affects the world.
